Java Architect

Full-time position open in San Francisco

We are looking for a Java architect to design and develop key product software. The successful candidate will be able to build high-quality, innovative and fully performing software in compliance with coding standards and technical design. Software engineer responsibilities will include gathering requirements, development, writing code, and documenting functionality.

Identify3D is a leader in software for the digital supply chain, enabling companies to have the confidence that their intellectual property, processes, and products are both secure and aligned with established engineering standards. Our solution enables security, repeatability, traceability and quality in digital distributed manufacturing. Our software protects and standardizes digital assets, coupling them with enforceable business and production policy, facilitating secure digital distribution, and providing manufacturing integrity.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute full lifecycle software development

  • Create development roadmap based on product team feature requests

  • Work with dev-ops to improve enterprise development framework

  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code

  • Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility

  • Knowledge of Java libraries to incorporate into architecture

  • Integrate software components into a fully functional software system

  • Document and maintain software functionality

  • Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics

Requirements​:

  • 5-10 years work experience in as a computer software engineer or software developer

  • Deep expertise in Enterprise Java systems including many standard frameworks and build methodologies

  • Experience with REST framework

  • Working knowledge of SQL Databases and persistence frameworks

  • Experience with one or more front-end frameworks such as JavaFx

  • Ability to document requirements and specifications

  • Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA

Plusses:

  • Domain experience in CAD, PLM, CAM, and/or 3D Printing

  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process

  • Working in and maintaining an AWS environment

  • Mobile app programming in Objective-C and/or Java
